I like, and such a cool subject. Look forward to more postings of your builds. Happens to be one of my favorite compaines, just really hard to come by here in the US unless you want to spend more for shipage charge than kit. Picked up a few from PMI while they lasted. Glad to have your abilities here to look over and hear how you came to the construction of such a wonderful ship. My hope is to someday get ahold of a S14 Cargo, but $600.00 US f/paper/card kit is way beyond my sanity.Rick

Thanks a lot Wilfried. That's a small treasure I might even be tempted to put my name on one of those containers.

Papercut:
I bought this kit 6-7 years ago from H&B Precision Card Models in Virginia. The Mowe(Wilhemshaven) had a 50 years anniversary sale.
They let customers who were subscribed to their newsletter, have one kit for $5.00 only. So, since I like big things, I could not resist and bought the Alaska kit for $5.00 and since my card modeling budget increased, I bought this 1/60 Conti Belgica. Postage to Israel was high, but that was taken from next year's budget

Finally, after almost nine months, finished the ship. Missed my deadline by only two days. At the begining of June, I "planned" to finish the ship by the end of the month, and because the power supply of my pc broke last week, and I was computerless for more tham 3 days, I had more time for the ship
and missed the deadline by only two days I still have many containers to build. here are afew pictures.

In the last picture, you can see a disc, that my co-worker prepared for me about 5 years ago, and only today, I used it for the first time. I still need to put "hour" marks on it and than I'll be able to create animations.

I enjoyed working on this kit, a 160 scale is much easier to work on than a 1/250 scale. Now I need to install shelves.

My next build will be a vehicle, and after that I hope to resume the work on the "Forrestal".

One detail I almost forgot.
Wilfried, I got a 404 error on the 40' containers (link a few messages above), and I was able to download and print only the 20' containers.

Would that disc be called a turntable? or Lazy Susan?
I had the same idea, though it is not original to me.
Very beautiful ship!

I don't know how and if it has a name in Hebrew. I had to explain him what I need and a few weeks later, he brought it to me. He has a farm with many agriculture machines and the base of the turntable is a heavy wheel of one of those machines.
