I get tired to work in the drawing of the pieces and decided to finish the first one. And get tired to lost time due the the thief of my cellphone... and exactly one week later in the same place, my wallet with all my credit cards and documentation. Both times a pickpocket inside the subway.

So, I place the masts and started to make the guns.

As you can see in the back of the image, the printed parts are more... professional? Yes, more professional. The final model made in color is going to be more realistic.

So far, the best results with the mast are with stretched plastic (take any plastic stick and hold it over a burning stove and pull with both hands). The real one is still made of grass, surelly it will change

Draco,

I am sorry to hear about your losses to a pick-pocket. Traveling around with the military for years, I always carried my wallet in my front pants pocket, with a loosely wadded up handkerchief stuffed on top of it. It seemed to work. The only time I ever lost a wallet, was before I started using this method. I still carry my wallet in my front pocket with things stuffed on top.

Good idea, missileer. I'll try it

Yesterday I push the throttle. Found a way to do the guns easily and cramp up the forge. Designed and made the remaining parts of the hull (still unpainted)

The drawn parts are advancing too!

I dedicated the weekend to improve the assembly kit and nothing to the real ship. So the good news is that the kit is nearer to be published. This week I'll print the color kit to start the final assembly tests.

Here is the Constitution at 1/700 against a destroyer and a battleship at the same scale. As a curiosity, numerically the constitution is the ship with more surface-to-surface guns

Interesting contrast between the different ships.

Looking at the amazing amount of detail that you have in the other two ships, I am really looking forward to seeing your finished version of the Constitution.

Take your time Alejandro. There's no rush on our end. Whenever you can.
