I like that artful recreation of the hull John.
And I must say, those are interesting propellers

Thanks for the comments guys ! Here another picture with my attempt to make the funnel, or better chimney .
Mike: These were the first kind of propellors, not yet advanced, but AZUMA had also still sails for powering her.
I also did some minor details on the hull, like the reinforcement of the ram and water gutters along the bow.
I still would like to make the inside under the fore deck, with the big front gun, but have a little problem how to solve this, because if I fit rigging and other devices on the deck, I have a problem lifting the deck to make the gun visible. Will take me some nights of sleep, before I decide what to do, and how to solve it

Hello John,
Great to see more work on Azuma.
The photos are excellent and that gun turret (second photo) is expertly detailed.

Stopped with AZUMA for the time being, I have some details I cannot make, and buying them is much to expensive, so I stopped, maybe someone has a very good idea how to make railings and/or railing stanchions in scale 1:100 ???? All incoming thoughts are welcome !!

John.

EUREKA !!!!!!

I just found brass stanchions at a webshop in the UK, and I needed 60 of them, for only 28 pound, so I ordered them and the building ban is lifted
Strange...I looked yesterday and did not find anything about these now ordered stanchions, I think they just were made overnight for me

John.
