HIJMS Azuma

Hi everybody,

This model I also started already a while ago, but was halted, because of other models, this is going to be project three, besides KONGO and TAMA.
See pictures:

Wow!
It looks great! I am happy to see an ironclad here! :D I am also a bit confused. This will be ex CSS Stonewall, am I correct?

I did some work on the Hienkel models kit, trying to make it as the Kotatsu. The ship has some very interesting lines on the hull, especially around the front. I tried to replicate them in paper, not really to my satisfaction though. I look forward to seeing how you tackle it.

A well-crafted structure. I am glad to see you working on another historic Japanese warship.

Fascinating looking hull . . . like 19th century.
Looking forward to it John.

Here some progression in my build. Planking is compleet, did a little sanding and now started with "coppering" the underwater ship. these plates are just card board which will be painted copper color with a spray can.

Scale is 1:100 Robert, and it is going to be AZUMA, not STONEWALL 7TP

A little update on AZUMA. The side "planking" is finished. Started working on the "steel" sides and also put some "copper" plates on !! All made of card board, of course, all will be painted later.
