The boat deck received some extra stanchions to support the deck above. They will be hidden later by the frame. It takes some time to build the deck chairs but the result is nice and adds to the atmosphere of the first class deck. For the other decks only minor modifications will be necessary as the kit is detailed. The only aspect that is a nuisance with HMV are the dotted lines to scratch the cardboard. They show too much after a part is assembled. Normally I just turn the inside out or whiten the lines and do a copy. It is a bit of extra work but adds tremendously to the overall look. I would prefer to have sratch lines outside the part to act as guidelines to the ruler like Van Kampen does it with his models.

I made all the scratch lines white so that they do not show. Why does HMV not apply scratch lines outside the parts? Also the gray parts are not properly executed and must be colored anew. Comparing my model with the one from the National German Maritime Museum at Bremerhaven, I humbly say that I did a good job.

Hanseat, this is a really awesome model you made, museum quality. Talking about Museum, do you know if there are Photographs to see somewhere on the internet of the "Cap Arcona" model in the National German Maritime Museum at Bremerhaven ??
