This isn't a paper model, it's wood, but you know, wood is just raw paper.
It's the world's first aircraft carrier: A balloon launch barge from the US Civil War! The USS George Washington Parke Custis.

Replica Model of the American Civil War USS George Washington Parke Custis

Any designers out there want to give it a go?

Looks like high time someone with design talent (which leaves me out) fills this void in naval aviation history!

Dear Herky:
Sorry for resurrecting your post, but for a year I have been toying with the idea of building the aircraft carrier fleet in 1/400.
How much space would I require, before my wife kick me out with my models.
This is an incomplete estimation without any WWII aircraft carriers, no American carriers, non of the JSC carriers (with the exception of the participating in the Falkland/Malvinas).
