The gap killer!

As is was speeching from Gap's .....

after a while the Hull was showing ugly one's ....

This was caused by the different distances between the Bows...

This Situation forced me to change the under water hull skin and re-stabilizing the whole frame set extremely...

Regards
Martin

in order to secure the base for the new skin i was using this tech.

After carefully grinding this the first parts of the 0,25mm thick skin segments are in place....

And everything is combined in this Module...

this is the first fitting test using Fixogum ( a removable kine of latex based glue) heps me to find the perfect position and reducement of the gaps between each hull segment.

After the segments was fitting perfectly they was finally glued whit UHU on the corpus... (first every second and then the other batch)

especially the rear area is much better here

The surface walls was getting an enhanced development in design and all so in material thickness (changed form 0.16mm to 0.32)

This was giving a much better optical Result.

The Armor belt is produced in 3D tec.

All holes for the Torpedo Net and eyelets are in place!

Also the Board's for the Torpedo net's are done (BTW: What is the right English name for them?)

The ship's emblems are also done in 3D and please keep in Minde this all are Macro Pictures whit a distance of about 30 mm to the Lens...

and for the buddy's of the tiny parts .....

This boom has 2 cuff's one whit 2 eylet and one whit 4 eylets ......

and the VdT need of course also the T-Net's ... make some kind of sense

here we go ...

This rolled up string has a all over length of 435 mm per side.

And the ship's name Tag looks like this ..

Regards
Martin

Martin,

Your hull, and also the rest of your ship looks awesome. These Torpedo nets are breathtaking, I think I am going to need them for my KONGO model too, also with the booms.
Very well done, looking forward to the handwheels and the hatches !!
