Hi John,

if you talk about the net and the boom's. That will be not to much.
But in general it can not be so easy, depend on the construction and
availably of Materials (thickness).

So it will be not done on the "flyby"

Martin

Hi,

i am was aware not every one is willing to follow the HQ path and so for i implemented also a "light" solution in order to compensate the price a bit.

The result of this effort can you see on this pictures ...

And for the surface ship the main deck is also available in printed version.
This prints are done in one sheet for the whole Deck so there will be no color differences or gap's between the main deck.

So it is up to you to select which route you want to go ....

Regards
Martin

You've posted quite a bit today (which is fine). Left me a bit of catching up to do myself. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading your catch-up posts Martin and am looking forward to future posts as you continue the journey of building the Von der Tann.

No, no, that wasn't what I meant Martin. I shouldn't have even said that. I was just commenting. That's why I said "(which is fine)". Oh dear. Please post all you want as often as you want please.

Hi,

@ Elliott: don't worry we back on the track! i was a bit unsure how to interpret it correct so it was my fault.

And please Gents don't hesitating here I do not Bite
(just battling whit your Language quite a bit...)

For the part oft the under surface "light" hull a different kind of skinning
was needed to find....

So i come up whit this 3mm wide and almost 600mm long stripes, they follow the bows whit all kind of curves really smooth and allow this kind of first skinning.

this is a closer view how it is from inside stabilized to ...

After both sides are with sandpaper CHEERFULLY polished the test- skin(printed) was placed on it ...

Not every thing was lining here correct up but we still in the woods here

Regards
Martin

Not your fault Martin. English can be a weird language, even to native speakers. You're doing a pretty good job of dealing with it. You have been understandable - even if a word does not make sense the thought behind your words makes it easy to understand.

Hi ...

the main deck received his Barbette's. Now it can be placed.

The color of the Admirals-trench (the deck's surrounding trench)
is changed from black to hull gray RAL 7000

I am still grinding about the right color for the T-Net bord's...
Suggestions are welcome.

Have a nice TG ....
Regards
Martin

What a beautiful model.

I am interested in the other side's battle cruisers and am about to start on the JSC 1:250 HMS Lion. If I can make it look even half as good as yours I will be delighted!
