I've decided she is going to be London Grenadier. She was launched a few days before I was born.

If there is anyone out there with an unstarted/unfinished STERN section kit, I would very much appreciate hearing from you by PM.

Thanks for the excellent photos. I've already saved them and will be used once I start my kit.

And so it goes on!
First the tween deck bulkhead. The second picture shows a gap that opened up between the ends of the transverse beams and the box girders, the longitudinal beams apear to be a little long. Cyanoacylate solved the problem. Sorry this one is out of focus the af on my camera locked onto the cutting mat??. Next the upper deck box girders, no recess this time. The forepeak top has been pre fabricated. The next picture shows the starboard frames in place and the ladder inside hold no1. Then a couple of external shots of progress so far.

Upper deck longitudinals and beams in place. She's as tall as the dry dock now. Picture two shows the watertight bulkhead, with the hull plating fitted this section should float. Many of the sd-14s built in sunderland wore built in sections, moved by floating them. Picture three forpeak. Next the forecastle parts test fitted.

London Grenadier sank in 1997 whilst in port. She was cut in half and the stern refloted in 2001

Looking better and better. I'm looking forward to start building mine in a few months, after I retire. In the meantime, I'll just sit back and watch your progress.
Thanks for sharing.
