suggest you check out pages 218-219 in your book as there seems to be some confusion regarding names given to the type carried by fearless and intrepid.they were technically lsm 9s but referred to as lcu,s

Don't forget the Bolger designed LCLM (Landing Craft Lawn Mower). If you really want to own one, and Bolger designs are legendary.

Don't expect that one's in his book either.
Shows just how limited some reference material can be.

Truly, very slack of you all especially as a paper model dowload is available.

It was a terrible mistake on my part, but you are welcome to contribute your models here.

Other mistake I did was the omission of the Viking longship, the ultimate landing and strike craft of the middle ages.

Speed, shallow draft, double ended made it ideal fro riding unsuspecting costal settlements in both sides of the Atlantic!!!

Thank you Herky:
Someone would need to explain me what happen with the landing craft after WWII in the Royal Navy, and the Royal Netherlands Navy, not to mention the current Russian Navy.
Happy researching, designing and modeling.

Landungsboot

I am reviving my thread of Amphibious Warfare Vessels, which I enjoy very much. I particular enjoy placing the cargo and vehicles to be landed. And if you think this is the Landungsboot of Wilhelmshavener Modellbaubogen, I am afraid that you are wrong! This is Joachim’s LCU enlarged from 1/1250 to 1/400 with minor adjustments and additions. The cargo is from PRmodels and R & P Models, adjusted from 1/100 or 1/250 to 1/400.
