Card models of Japanese battleships YAMATO and MUSASHI, projected by SZKUTNIK
Ahoy!
Another Anatomy of the Ship serie book titled „Battleships YAMATO and MUSASHI” has been published recently. This is a completely new development of this theme, not a mere resumption. The author of the book is an eminent expert on Japanese ships, Mr. JANUSZ SKULSKI. In addition to „traditional” drawings, book contains colorful renders included there for the first time. The author of the 3D model, whose illustrations we can admire, is Mr. STEFAN DRAMIŃSKI. We are very pleased to inform that Mr. STEFAN DRAMIŃSKI has agreed to donate his 3D models for the development of the Yamato type battleships card models. Based on the projects that the renders are included in the book, card models of YAMATO (1945) and MUSASHI (1942) battleships will be projected. The main designer of the model is Mr. LUKASZ FUCZEK. He does not need to be presented to any of Polish modelers, because his name speaks for itself. So Luke joined the crew of SZKUTNIK, which we are very happy about. Welcome on board, Lukasz. Both models will be projected in 1:200 and 1:300 scales. The keel for the YAMATO model at the SZKUTNIK shipyard was laid down recently. That is why we ask you to be very understanding and even more patient. Such models are not projected overnight. We will try to put the photographs to show progress of the work from time to time. Today it looks like this: see photos In the meantime you will be able to make USS HORNET (CV-8) aircraft carrier card model, which will be on sale soon. SZKUTNIK – NEW DIMENSION OF MODELLING

You have done a great job on hornet that we can see. How about lesser modeled ships other than yamato/musashi? The Soryu stands out. The earlier Light carriers, Rhujo for example. A good Essex class carrier. The great baltimore class us cruisers, some of the early light cruisers, uss omaha. we have tons of Yamatos, Bismarks, Missouris.

And what about re-introducing the ships you started a long time ago from the TITANIC Class ??

Personally, I'd love to see a Space Battleship Yamato!
I found one copy, but the pages had been scanned at varying scales. Only discovered that after I'd finished the hull and was well into the superstructures. |

John, The TITANIC Class ships WILL NOT be published at all as the computers on which the project was stored were destroyed in the flood few years ago as far as I know.

Just reiterating the Golden Rule here - if it's a scanned copy of a model it's a pirate copy. If you have questions, PM a mod or administrator. We'll check it out and get back to you.

Figured that out AFTER I started building.
Note: I am not offering to share these files. I am not asking for help with these files. I was suggesting that the OP who is building a new Yamato model could consider making a Space Battleship version! |
