Congratulations on your new camera Alejandro! 'Bout time huh? Sure does make a difference in your pics. I can blow them up now without them fuzzing out. South Dakota is looking grand just like the stately Mo'. Do you have any plans to go back and shoot pics of the ships you built before you got the new camera?

Just two small pieces, I've been very busy this weekend. I'm posting the pictures of my other models using my new camera

I'm still in the "small details" stage. Meaning small platforms, machine guns, and searchlights. The only big parts remaining are the anchors, masts, crane and propellers.
Looking some pictures, it seems that the "B" turret had no rafts, and the nets placed over the three turrets were removed in the time of my model. I'm guesstimating three weeks to finish the ship

At last I made the anchor collars. It was a piece that had me worried. This weekend I placed the four Mk12 radar on top of superstructure and finished the placement of the decks around the rear superstructure.
I started, too, to assemble the 17 Quad 40mm Bofors AA guns.

So many small pieces to deal with, especially with the 5 inch turrets. Keep up the good work.

Thanks, Doug
If you think that the 5 inch turrets are small, see this pictures of the Quad 40mm Bofors AA guns, with 8 pieces each (not counting the armored circle glued to the deck). Small weapons count: 62 single machine guns (2 installed), 9 dual machine guns, 17 quad 40mm Bofors (6 installed). Plus, one anchor installed this weekend. I was hopping to finish in two months, but I'm reevaluating to 3-4 months. Doesn't mather, I'm enjoying the challenge.

I've taked a rest on the South Dakota, and meanwhile I've been making some fighters at 1/72 scale (see the thread:
My 1/72 Scale Planes This week I'll probably resume the assembly, and start another ship. This one is going to be the Lusitania and the Mauretania. I wrote "and" because, like my Titanic, I'm goig to assemble two ships at the same time. I'm still debating myself if the Mauretania is going to be civilian or military dazzle camouflage.

And yesterday restarted the assembly. There are a more than 80 AA guns of various types. Knowing that many of them will get lost, I'll make around a hundred.

Running as always. I finished the quad AA guns, and started with the searchlights.
Just remains to do the propellers, the masts, eleven double AA guns... and se-ven-ty single guns plus so-me spa-res just in ca-se.
