Thank you for shearing your modeling tricks. Apparently so easy but so difficult to achieve at your level. I enjoy every picture you post. Every picture is a master class of modeling.
I thought it was going to be a big model in every sense. 130 cm. is a big model. At the very demanding scale you are working 1/55 there will be lots of tiny things to model, not to say the decorations involved. I am ready to sit and watch how it grows.

If I had seen that hull displayed anywhere else, but this forum, I would have assumed that the model was being built using laser cut wooden parts. It is a truly amazing display of creative talent.

Hello dear friends,
it is a long time I was here last time. First I would you like to say thank you for all your comments and kind words. I do appreciate them a lot and it is is really a honour for me.
A did plenty of work on the model since I was here last time, so I am going to bring many pics and description from process.

There were added some details/moldings on the hull and I also decided to change colour on wales to achieve more realistic result - I proceeded according to the original painting. The black stripe is now situated about 1cm lower.

Amazing!! You need to move the camera to the right and give us some shots of the one following in the Battle Line.

I have to assume that is a real bird?!

I wish my wife had half your patience!!

Decks are made of several layers of tough card glued together and the planking is created from foil strips (with wooden grain) and improved by thinned colours (I use Tamiya acrylic paint).

The model will have illumination, so there is already installed cables for for powering LED diodes.

Thank you for your words, I am glad, you like my work.
Oh yes, the bird is real, she likes to relax under the hull.
