Hi Dan,

I have the Papegojan of Shipyard 1/72 selected. This evening I glued the first frames in. As I have the framework finished, I will show some pictures.

Nice. Have you seen THIS Build Log of the same ship?

Cheers, Danny

Thanks Mike .

The first section of the Superstructure for the #2 Turret. Some tricky bending/rolling was required around some of it. I've added extra bracing on the framework in important areas.

Cheers, Danny

I've finished adding all the small structures and railings to the #2 turret base. The Mast is held together with CA glue. I would have silver soldered it, but I've run out of gas and can't get a refill for a few weeks.

Cheers, Danny

You sure this is only your second card model Danny, 'cause you sure do good work. Looking forward to your next post.

Thanks Elliott. I assure you it is .

The three Turrets are identical, so it was a "no-brainer" to make them together. The kit gives you the option to make the guns elevate, so I took that option and I'm glad I did as they would have been a real pain to work around if they had been in a fixed position.

The last three pics are of a completed turret which still needs the railings painted and the 1mm brass tube barrels glued in.

Cheers, Danny

The Gun Turrets are completed and ready to fit (later). I've also done most of the work on the two Torpedo Tube Turrets.

Cheers, Danny

Dan, your model looks really stunning. I have one question though. I always use copper wire instead of your brass wire. Is brass wire also available in various thicknesses and where ??
