Nice work on the tackle and falls, the pic of the complex lines of the top is fun, I've been looking forward to see your rigging

A little more work on the Conrad. The main topsail yard is almost done.
I stuck it in place to show the location.
Also the fore royal braces are on. I delayed them because they go to
the side pinrail while the other 3 go to the central pinrail.
The lines go through holes in the top, a clipper era innovation.
cheers Jim

Fine work Jim.
Your attention to the rigging details is excellent.
Nice to see you back on top of it.

Many thanks everyone.
The main topsail yard is finished with the topgalant sheets and top clew lines on.

Also started on the mizzen mast. The mizzen gets no respect.
Not only is it smaller but on this ship it is wood while the fore and main are steel.
The top will need fittings for shrouds with braces down to the mast.

The top frame is made of 0.005 inch brass sheet.
It can be cut with scissors so is kind of like paper, but much stronger.
cheers Jim

That last image is a nice sweeping view of all the work you put into the details.

Thanks Mike, Birder and RDK.
A little more progress on the Conrad.
The main top yard is finally in place and the lines belayed.
The sheet lines go to the main pinrail via a pair of blocks, the after ones.
The clew lines go to the side pinrails via the holes in the top.
Some progress on the mizzen mast. The piece on the after side is for tying on the sail.
The black blobs are supposed to be openings for the ropes.
This ship uses the style of spanker sail where the gaff does not move, the sail is tied to
the mast and the sail is drawn out on the boom and gaff with a tackle.

cheers Jim
