Congrats on finishing the foremast rigging! In my build I finished that one, too (except the top halyard due to a mistake). Seeing your wonderful set of pictures of the rigging inspiers me to continue with my one... ...As soon as times allows...

Next is the main mast which has taken a long time to build. On this ship the mast and
the top are made of steel. I am using 0.005" brass to model the metal parts.
The brass is a friendly material: can be cut with ordinary scissors and bent/formed
with fingers. The top could have been made of paper but would nor be strong enough
to support the rigging lines.
The thin brass would be excellent for reinforcing paper parts.


The metal parts and the dowel will be painted gray and the timber parts left natural.

I have 0.01 and 0.005 inch but mostly use the 0.005.


Some pics of the main with the parts that are metal, or pretending to be metal, painted grey.
Also starting to build up the topmast. Steel angle was used on the real ship.
The 1/32 inch brass angle, in 1:96 scale, models 4 inch angle .
That might be close to what was used.

The main mast is finally finished. Lots of blocks.
This ship has blocks the way a modern ship has antennas.
