Adm. Graf Spee, 1/200 gpm

Well, I thought I would make another attempt building this famous raider of the sea lanes. I started several years ago a CMF 1/250 version of this vessel. But for whatever reason, never finished. Sad really, this is a 1st Class kit you can build in her early years. I believed this to be a re-sized and re-colored version of the GPM or vice versa. The are identical except for some additional armaments and aircraft.
I ordered this kit, laser cut frame, PE, resin parts, turned barrels, and additional laser cut details just for this kit.
Needless to say, I want to repaint, GPM's colors for this kit from 2007 leaves a lot to be desired. This will be a first for me.
So, will post again when progressive effort has been made. Another idea I may employ, packing foam, sandable between formers. Should help to keep hull plates smooth?
So, time to cut and glue.
