Hello Tomek, These photographs are not visible anymore at #25/30/31/45 and 48, is it possible to upload them again ?? I am studying your "DUYFKEN" build, before I start my
own build ! I am not going over one night of ice

1. Window decorations are made with thick paint on paper stripes, than glued to the model:

2. To make "railings" I used three layers of cardboard, where the one in the middle is yellow:

3. Finally the stern can be shown, as I rebuild it three times. I change the crest of Fremantle to Amsterdam one (thank you Ab for pointing me the correct one:-). The picture with a dove is made of two layers, the upper part with the sailship is so small, that my printer did not print the phrase "A 1606":-)))

4. The head timbers are so small and so "complicated" in 1:100 scale, that I decided to glue railings first, then I adjusted and trimmed timbers:

5. So now she looks like this:

Well, I don't know why they disappeared. S'il vous plaît!

I don't remember, what pictures I put. If you need any help, ask. My pleasure:-)

Greetings

Remarkable that there is no decent Walk around made of the replica of the "Duyfken" with a lot of detail photographs, at least I cannot find such a Walk around. Anybody who found such Walk around, please let me know !

Hello Tomek, at the moment I’m enjoying building Duyfken very much. You developed a gem of a ship! I have one question, though: at the moment I’m working on the stern and the fishes (parts 114) give me trouble. I have plenty of pictures of the situation on the replica, but your drawing cannot make me understand how the four parts should be connected to produce the nice 3-dimensional shape of the fish. Can you light me up, perhaps with one or two close up’s of the finished fish? Thanking you in advance!

Hello Jeanco,
I'm glad you managed to build so much that you are already at the stage of decorating the stern :-)
All decorations on this scale are very small, so it may be easier to make them from a material other than paper and paint them yourself. But it has been assumed that a paper kit should contain all the parts necessary to build a model, even those that are difficult to make from paper and do not look good. Therefore, the decorative fish you are asking for are somehow designed. I say "somehow" because this is an example of a part that is easier to build with your own method, not from paper.
The plan is that a tiny piece of cardboard with a thickness of 1 mm should be covered on three sides with the remaining colored parts. The "spine" of the fish can be slightly rounded so that the sculpture is not too angular. The entire part should be glued to the bottom of part 107.

I hope I explained a little how I made these fish.

Best regards
Tomek
