Nice job on the enlargement of the Britannic.
Actually for converting an existing model I think you would need to have the designers permission. After having finished my 1:200 Taschen Titanic I had plans to convert it to Britannic, but could not get permission to do so. Otherwise a 1:200 scale Britannic would have existed allready, other then the Heidelberger kit, which I think is hard to find. They pop up on ebay now and then. Jerry

But if the person thinks on re-distributing the final kit (repainted/enlarged/modified) express permission from the designer is required. The HeiDelberg Britannic can be found at one German store: https://www.rakuten.de/preview.php/p...747869605.html I have never bought from them, so I can not give references.

A well, offcourse, I hadn't that about that, but I was indeed planning on putting the model of Britannic in 1:200 scale "out there" as well back in 2012.
Jerry P.s. thanks for that link!

There's no need for me to contact the designer for permission because I did this for myself for my personal collection..... However if I manage to purchase another Alan Rose Titanic kit, I will convert it to Britannic and since it'd be for my own personal use I wouldn't need anyone's permission to convert it.

That is correct. As for enlarging the 1:1200 model, you are allready in contact with the designer.
As for repainting another, for your own collection, as was established above, it seems you are okay. With regards, Jerry N. J. Vondeling (Jerry V)

Ahh, so you're the famous designer of the Olympic class models! You did a wonderful job designing them sir. I must ask though, how come you didn't design any other ships?

Thank you!
As for designing other ships, I have designed and build a model of the Baltic and currently in the process of designing the 1899 Oceanic. The 3rd party blocking by photobucket has disabled images of my Baltic topic. With regards, Jerry
