HMV "Mellum" Environmental Control Vessel

Hello again, this is my completed HMV "Mellum". Very nice kit overall, with only a few fit issues to address. Pretty much built as per instructions apart form metal buoy anchor chain and acetate glazing on the bridge and crane. Rigging was stretched sprue.

I had a disaster after completion - my overcoat of Humbrol matt acrylic varnish turned the black hull sides a chalky white. So I had to dissolve the pva, peel and pick the sides off and replace with new ones. Very fiddly, but I was determined not to throw away a year's work!

Thanks for looking!

For having the setback that you had, it looks incredible. Never would have known anything had been wrong.
