This way all the parts are designed from these small plans.
Please note the spacers glued with left overs from the cut out to keep everything strait and parallel. |

Please Note: The name on the plans is LA CONCORDE.
These are the same plans used for the reconstruction of the Hermione. As the could not find the Hermione original plans, these were used as it was an identical sister ship. It took me a while to figure this out. |

Beautiful model. Interesting how you got plans up to scale. Looking forward to a fascinating build.

I am fascinated with all of the boat builders who build from plans.
I get it, but I don't. Always amazed watching you guys work

Before planking, We gone need some decks.
From the enlarged top view plan, I cut out the decks with a graphic software. Remove the planking design and fill it with one color. Now paint with a deck planking texture the wooden planking. Picture: the top deck, cut in 2 parts, it's longer then one sheet of paper. |

The decks are printed on 180gr paper and glued on a 300gr paper.
Final cut out when everything is dry. From the side view plan, cut out the canon holes part. Duplicate the part and flip one horizontal, creating 2 parts, one for the left and one for the right side. Print on 180 Gr paper, glue on 300gr paper. Glue again on an other 300 gr paper and glue an other 180gr paper on the back side. I use white glue for it, it stiffen the part. cut out and mount |

Very interesting procedure. You are providing some nice detailed explanations for converting the plan drawings into parts for the model.
As they say, you can never have too many clamps.

From the following drawing, found on the internet, I make the back of the model.
With the graphic software, resize the drawing to the measurements of the model. Glue the template on 2 mm cardboard, or laminate 300gr paper up to 2mm. Now I can put it on the model As I go along I paint some parts, as in a later stage it will be difficult to paint without smearing other parts. I use artist acrylic paint |

Time to plank the hull.
As I have no template I need to make the parts according to the hull. Laminate 180gr paper to 300gr paper Note: I'm not laminating part by part , instead i laminate various sheets in advance. Please note the flaps on the side of the parts to support the next part. |
