Hermione - La Fayete Scratch Build

The Hermione got my attention, because they rebuild the ship in Rochford, France.
The original Ship was also build on the same place in 1778.

You can find it on the internet here: https://www.hermione.com/en/home/

Ship sizes Length: 44,20M Width: 11,55M Main Mast Height: 54M

I’m building the model on a scale of 1/60, the model has a total length of 73 cm.

To my knowledge there exists no paper model plan of it.
It is a complete scratch build model based on pictures and info found on the internet.

I started this paper model some 6 months ago, long before I was a member here.

This is a picture of the actual state

I can start this thread from the actual state of the model, or from the beginning as i made pictures from the hole build.
Witch ever you prefer.

Very good looking ship model.
Start from the beginning and show the whole build. It would be interesting to see your process of translating the plans to make the model.

Thanks for the replies.

Start from the beginning.
The pictures of the plans are the original size as I found them.
First, resize the plans to the final size of the model.
This can be done with most graphics software. I use Gimp, the program is free and has far more features than needed.

The plans have a resolution of 96 dpi, typical internet resolution, vary bad for resizing. This will result in very blurry picture.
Convert the plans to at least 300dpi.
Resize the pictures to the needed size.

We start with the old plan. This is what we need for the hull
Now I put the plan in picture publisher. This is a program from Microsoft Office (Not for free)
This will print the plan on several pages in real size.
See picture how it will be printed.

Open office is a free alternative to Office, I don’t know if they have a similar function in there suit.

As we have the full sized plan as a graphic picture, cut the hull shapes from the far left of the plan and convert them as show in the picture

The top picture is the original cut
The bottom ones are the ones we need.
Now Simply print the first one 9 copies and the second one 8 copies.

Gluing everything on 2mm cardboard gives the following result.
And we can start building
