POP POP Boat
I had to make something out of a sad cardboard box my wife was about to throw away. After her usual “Oh No” I took the box , checked the internet for ideas, and discovered many references about Pop Pop Boats and scratch built one for display at the September Ship Modelers Association meeting.
Protective soda can aluminum lined the interior after constructing the soda can aluminum boiler. Big smile when this cardboard boat POP POPPED along our water filled kitchen sink. How to Make a Pop Pop Boat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uBEXCZ0Ry60 BP |

You'll have to bring a dish pan and some water to the meeting so everyone gets the full effect
Oops, didn't realize it was already over

Very cool. You've inspired me to do the same with one of the boats from my 'the Amazing Paper Boats' book. I have a metal PopPop boat that is sort of a gun boat. When the boat moves, the guns move a make a racket. It's amusing on a duck pond.

I remember making these as a kid, but never so sophisticated.

An ingenious creation to say the least, although the video maker's merciless methodology for shelling the soda cans had me cringing at every turn. I almost needed a Tetanus shot watching him!
