Black Pearl - From the Pirates of the caribbean

I'm looking to build the Black Pearl again

A couple of years ago, downloaded the template from Disney paper craft side, designed by UHU02. A well know paper craft designer.

As Disney claimed the rights on this model, and UHU02 did not agree, it disappeared from the Disney site. The model is still visible on the UHU02 site, but he removed the template download links.

Stupid disagreement on copyrights for something that was available for free download anyway.

I started building this model on one of my first attempts on paper models.
After building the hull stopped the build, I found it to small and paperish for what I wanted.

Here is the link to the UHU02 Pages: #013[BLACKPEARL]ペーパークラフト: uhu02 ペーパークラフト . It's in Japanese but with google or bing translator you can easily read it.

He explains that he developed the model in corporation with Mel Lpapa. he even provides you a link to this page, That leads to nowhere, hmmm.

He even mentions this on the first page of his template, it says UHU02 & Mel Lpapa. See sample
So, I keep searching for plans and info from the black pearl.

After some googling I found the Mel Lpapa page.

BP001

And surprise, Al his plans are here as a free download.

zumen-01~07

These plans are designed for a wooden model.
But it fits exactly for what I'm looking for.

Unfortunately the plans have some missing parts. the UHU02 template is a fantastic work of art and complete.

What should I do.
Rework the UHU02 template to fit what I want or
Start with the Mel Lpapa plans and get the missing parts from UHU02
I don’t know if I’m allowed to do this,.

Thanks for any good advice

For your own build, you can do what you want. You just can't take their work and make templates to sell or even give away.

But for your own personal build, you can take from one, or the other, or both

Finally decided, gone use the plans from Mel Lpapa.
The hull is a scale of 1/76, fits nice with the Hermione model.

As you can see, made several notes on the centre hull part to adapt to my way of building.

On the first picture is a test build from the UHU02 template next to the Hermione, very good and fine template. But not the same style and very small, I want to do a full rigging on it.

The last pic. The centre hull part next to the Hermione. about the same size.

Adapted the center part to make an open captains cabin, so I can make transparent windows, on the plan it is completely closed.

The ribs on for the hull. All glued on 2mm cardboard.
The original center cut out is 4 mm, marked them to cut 2mm

Preparing the ribs before mounting.
This is a lot easier wright now.
The template of windows and doors is far to big, had to adjust it.
The plan is not consistent between the sheets, No problem
