Offshore supply vessel "Kreuzturm" - 1:250 - WMV

I'm going to make a small and quick build next that I've had my eyes on for years - an offshore supply vessel, a nice WMV offset print.

The ship was built in 1977 and is still in service, but nowadays as the Sable Express.

Talk about a utilitarian look. I hope the build goes well.

In that vein, check out Papershipwright's MV Geco Scorpio sometime....

The <br/> at the end of that URL needs to be removed in order to get to the page with the papershipwright model.

Nice looking boats.
I worked on some that looked like them in the Gulf of Mexico during the early 1970's. We worked out of ports from Morgan City, Louisiana to Port Isabel, Texas.

The Geco Scorpio and the Ievoli Black are nice similar models too. I guess this one qualifies as "not conventionally beautiful".

This won't be a long build, here goes.
