Photo-pictures
I realize that I never showed our complete collection of photo-paintings,
Last month I wrote an article in a nautical magazine of which I am one of the editors, showing our complete collection. I offered anyone who would like to have a hi-res copy (to have it printed in a copy-shop) one file for free (low-res for screen-savers were also an option). Many people took the opportunity and I was happy to supply them with a picture of the file they chose. If anyone of the members of this forum wants one too, send me a PM and will send the file of their choice. Here is the collection: |

Oh my...those are paintings or you managed to get time machine running? Those are very, very good.Do you have a website I can read about about them?
That reminds me of trailers of "Admiral film about Michiel de Ruyter from few years back.I have to find dvd of it somewhere. Would you have any similar paintings of aircraft? |

Very striking. I would like to read more about them. Butelczynski is right. Like stepping backward in time.

offer free 'photo painting'
Thank you for your kind words. The first free picture has been sent.
Butelczinski: Nothing is easier than making plane pictures: Just take a snapshot!. Or crank up your flightsimulator and make a screenshot, like this one: The fun of making 17th century pictures is that they are impossible.:-) No, I don't have a website. I explained the technique of making these images in several threads I posted. It starts with taking good pictures of the paper models under any thinkable angle. Then a scene is 'invented', after which pictures of skies, seas, waves, foam, birds, horizons, mills, city walls, church towers, etc. are combined in Photoshop. Some of these pictures were sold to serve as a sleeve for nautical books, like this one: |
