I was marvelling over it the other day. Honestly I didn't like his display box, it's too restricted and doesn't allow proper sight lines. The model itself is a masterpiece.

Thanks, John.
A ship model building friend sent me this link a couple of days ago. I sent him links to the four (known to me) Zuiho builds in our Forum. That 1/100 model is extraordinary. Don |

You are welcome Don,
Just looked up the four ZUIHO builds on this forum too. But I think the most precise ZUIHO model will be Jakub's one (Kubeksus), he did and is doing a very thorough research on the ship. I am awaiting his results before starting to build her myself. I downloaded all four builds though for reference !! John. |

John - I fully concur with your assessment of Jakub's Zuiho. A friend who is a retired Smithsonian model builder and historical research (and a member of this Forum) said to me in an email message just this morning, "Jakub pushes the envelope in accuracy . . . That sort of research is awe inspiring," and I can only agree.
You are no slouch in research and craftsmanship yourself, my friend. Don |
