Micromodelle Heidelberg - Bismarck

Hello,

I thought I would do another quick project. Here is Micromodelle Heidelberg's BISMARCK in 1:1750.

Looking forward to your completed model.
BTW, this micromodelle look more refined than the micromodels from the UK

I bought this particular model about 7 years ago at a model show in Vienna.

As a whole, I think the new generation models lack the charm of the originals.

I can't wait to see how you apply your skill to this model. All of your previous projects have been remarkable.

@ wireandpaper, thank you, I have been looking forward to this one for awhile!

@ Don, thank you very much for the kind words!

So, Ive mounted the decks to 2mm cardboard and applied the sides to all them. I've done a bit of scratch building on the superstructure to make it more accurate.

It was such a pretty day, we got out on the lake for awhile.

Hello! More progress on the Bismarck. Additional scratch building around the funnel which I reshaped to more accurately reflect the real one. Added the armored searchlights using 1/4 of a peppercorn. Replaced the kit rangefinders with peppercorns. Built a more accurate forward mast. Scratch built several components of the hanger and aft superstructure.

Outstanding work. My eyes are crossing just looking at that small work. Can't wait to see it finished.

Where does a "Aircraft Maintenance Mercenary" in Ga get one of these little targets? It looks like they are preprinted and not digital?
