Thank you for your kind comments,
Getting along. The small hogging posts are, like the spacing logs, four sided affairs with an endcap and a cut out section that allows the overhang to fit in it. I got the first one done and it came out better then expected. I got the roofs with a slight curve to shed rain water and dry fit the paddles in. A bit snug. Now for that other hogging post and the upper works.

A very nice model, indeed. I love details and layering effects; they really make a model come alive. As an after thought, are you going to offer a companion model of the ship after the explosion?

Looks good C.T., not only the model but the parts sheets. I have always liked your layout of parts and instructions.

Great to see you back building a Civil War ship Corey. Have missed you doing that. The Barataria is looking good.

Also I got the upper crews housing on and the aft upper house. I am unsure what that is but it is protected by heavy timber with the light/vision slots up high...
and now on to the steps. I can not tell you how amazed I am with you folks who do airplane cockpits in full detail and work with parts this small and small all the time! Wow. My three steps came out... but not super pretty. No worries though. Once in place with the rails added they look pretty darn good. I am quite pleased with myself at this point...
