Scaldis Texel Number 10, 1:150 scale

So this model has an interesting history. I bought this directly from Win Van der Meer at the International Paper Model Convention in Bremerhaven Germany, 2013. Drove the model back to Schkeuditz Germany where we were living at the time and eventually flew it back to the states and our house in Tennessee. Three years ago we moved to Georgia, where I intend to never move again. And finally got a start on this great little ship after I finished up the Bismarck.

Hi Chris!
Seems to me, that Your model has done more shipping than the original, hasn´t it?

Your timing, by the way, is perfect for me, Scaldis has published a special edition these days, scaled down to 1:250, which is tempting me a lot, so I will closely follow this build! Your build already looks great. Do You use lasercut parts? Your grating can´t be handmade - only, with You, probably it can be .

Hello everyone!

@Heiner: I will look forward to your 1:250 version with great enthusiasm! I am in fact using the LC set made by Draft Model although I appreciate your confidence!

@Don: Thank you!

Here is some work on the Pilot House and Weather Deck:

Nice job on that mast. I like the utilitarian look of those ships.

Hi everyone!

I appreciate all of the comments! masts are always tricky and time consuming to assemble.
