For those who love history:

The Naval History of the Civil War, David Dixon Porter.

Awesome.. and free books are always cool!

Got the deck and bow "walls" on. A simple build so far due to the lack of compound curves...or any curves....

Those ACW ironclads, and what were called tinclads, are definitely an interesting part of naval history.
This too might be a book of interest, copyright 1989, Naval Institute Press, 271 pages.

A fantastic volume; in my library as well.

Great to see another full Hull C.T.’s Paperclad coming out!

Nice work, Corey.

Thanks for putting me on to Porter's history of the naval war, Michael. I have downloaded it and dipped into it. Useful to have Porter's point of view and all the maps and illustrations. I was previously unaware of Porter's writing career.

Paul Silverstone's book is a useful resource. I have several of his other illustrated books on U.S. Navy ships and keep them close at hand.
