Impressive work, rope around the bitts is a wonderful detail... Albert Ballin himself would approve.

Thanks Decatur.
And I'm done. All fit and ready to go. I really love the looks of it and it is a great kit from HMV. Lots of details and good fit. Thanks to everyone for following along on my post. Next - finish HMS Victoria!

Do you think that's due to using white glue on the large parts that causes the warping?

I bought this kit from HMV, it's on the way so I'm really glad to have your log to refer to. I'm wondering about the 'small 1mm by 6mm strips of card to the outer walls to show a 3-D frame on the bulk heads' that you've fitted. Are they part of the kit? If not, what's the story behind fitting them, I'm wondering what was ship construction actually like in that era?? Alan |

They are not a part of the kit. I'm basing the idea of the exposed iron beams based on my historical background on naval stuff. The lines are there on the bulkhead walls so I took the guess that they are.

Hi Greg,
Nice job - just curious - what brand / type of glue are you using? Alan |

I'm using Elmers glue-all extra strong. It dries a bit quicker than the regular stuff.
