Mahan Class Destroyer paper model ?

I've been looking for a Mahan Class Destroyer .
Specifically the U.S.S. Reid.
Can't seem to find one.
If there is one ?
Could someone point me in the right direction ?

Wayne McCullough has a line of 1/600 WWII treaty-era destroyers of the Benham and Gridley/Bagley class More US Navy Destroyers

Gerry 1966 has redrawn some of them in 1/400 US Navy Destroyers in 1/400

It is possible that they may produce other USN destroyers in the future.

The available models are at the Forum download section: http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/v...0&categoryid=3

Lou Coatney also publishes lot of 1/600 model warships My simple cardstock model ship designs.

His home page: Lou Coatney: Home Page

I hope the Mahan (and Farragut!) class DDs become available.

Ormac Bay and surrounding waters was a really hot spot in December 1944. Sounds like your relative was lucky to have survived Reid's sinking.

I have always liked the appearance of the pre-WWII U.S. destroyers. They all had active and interesting wartime service, as well.

Here's hoping you have the chance to build a model of Reid some day.

I decided to order these three Destroyers.
I'll decide which one to build , when I get to look at them.
At this point , I'm thinking i want to build the Selfridge.
