The gun positions. She's going to look impressive with all the anti-aircraft guns in place.

As always, magnificent work, Marco!

It's going to be a truly beautiful ship.

Looking real good. To be honest it doesn't look like an overly complicated build. I have had this model for years but have put it off (and kind of forgot about it). It looks to be a much cleaner and easier build than the very complicated Japanese carriers.

I've asked this before, but are you leaving these amazing models of yours behind when you go back home?

True - the big challenge is size, but the hull is not really more complicated than that of a battleship, and doesn't have the complex trusses of a "hanging" flight deck. The superstructure is of course much smaller than most navy vessels. There will be some challenging anti-aircraft guns, but I've ordered the lasercut set. I don't have lasercut parts for the airplanes, so those may take a while.

I'll have to find a good home in Ghana (colleagues, embassy, museum) for my builds, as I'm not planning to ship them back home.

Is that a paper bell? It's very well formed.

Thanks - it is, with a touch of gold paint.

Now for the gun barrels I've used the turned brass version, and lasercut parts for the antennas.

And a few smaller details before starting on the anti aircraft guns.

What a great build you have there. Looks great. I really like the ships bell that you show back on 6 Nov.
