Oh, yes! Fake wood! There's nothing better in this world!

Now, talking seriously, you're doing astonishingly great job on this. Did you cut out all those white spaces in that "tower" with searchlight? Or they were already prepared in this new version? To me they were to thin to cut them out.

These parts and the depth charge racks are from the extra cost laser cut detail set. I think it was about $4 USD.

Also in case I haven't already posted it here is the build album:

Adding the masts has really made a difference in how she looks. I even went back and added the laser cut ladders where I had used the paper ones. These laser cit parts take some getting used to in the build but they really make a difference. To me it is too bad that there is not a full set of 1/400 railings. As I understand it there were railings all the way around the outside of the ship.

In the forum in Spanish where I'm also heinkel 111 has a tutorial on how to make railings with copper wires or strips of paper and it seems simple. Take a look at the tutorials here, maybe also this and it will help you, if you want to do an extra job .

If you want railings, Michael, I'd recommend Aber products.

Here you got the link:

I often order from there.

The guide board to build the railing is marked according to the scale and measure you need. The system is suitable for any scale, you design the board according to what you need.
