Orel "Askold" Russian warship

Hello, Please has anybody tackled the Orel "Askold" ship? I ordered one and I will start building it as soon as I get it. I would like to know if indeed anybody has made this beautiful model.

I just completed the JSC 1:400 version. It was ok but had a problem with some of the upper superstructure parts. Which kit have you ordered?

Yes, Orel is a big difference from JSC not to mention scale. Orel is 1:200 with lots of detail parts. I have this kit also but have not had the guts to start it yet. Good luck and hope to see pics of your work.

The boats of the OREL publishing are difficult in general, they are very detailed and use the construction with several types of paper thickness. I have built 5 or 6 and I have learned the design technique of this specific editorial. . They are highly recommended but only for experienced modelers.
Refrain novices.

Nando speaks wisdom, not for beginners.
