I appreciate that response, but have nothing to add on Marco's build as I mostly refer to his post. I expect my model to be on par, but not better. I'd only be repeating what he's already done.
I'm starting on the dishes, photocopied them to make practice builds.
Today played golf after work for the 1st time this season so work will slow down anyway.

Currently the two main dished are placed on the ship. Will add the interior on them next.

The satellite dishes are impressive.
Can you tell us more about them?
What material are they made of?
Thanks Paperfan.

All paper. The frames are laser cut. The outer framing is strips of paper, odd but in this case better than laser cut. The cones are from the kit. Marco's model gives more detail.

Beautiful model! Try clear hot glue sticks for the pools. Squirt it in and use a toothpick to make little peaks for the waves on the surface. Of course, practice a couple times off the model

thanks for the hint, I will try it. You know of a way to put a slight blue tint to it?

I finished the 4 satellite dishes, some build pictures of of the aft unit. I used a penny to level and set the 4 legs then dripped thin CA on them to give them strength. The two forward smaller units were actually more difficult but I forgot to photo the assembly of them. I recommend you visit Marco's build for better detail.

Next up boats.

These satellite dishes show what can be done in paper.
It is fortunate they are white, eliminating the need to color all those edges.

Boats, yea, done. The boats are actually well designed and not too hard to assemble the exception of the one whale boat. The whale boat I covered, it does not fit well and is a mess simply put. Do love the various motor boats and the cable launch, great little models in their own right.
