Russian 1900's Liner OPEJI (I think)

I built this little ship during a Yuri break.

The model is well designed, well colored, and fairly easy to build. Highly recommend this kit.

That's a very good looking liner.Name of the ship translates to "Eagle" I think but my Russian might be very rusty.

Should be, i bought it and Alabama directly from Orel. I won't buy from GPM anymore since they don't back up or guarantee their international shiping and as such I'm out over $250.

The Yuri is so well designed so i purchased this and USS Alabama.

Back to GPM, their own tracking shows the models i ordered never arrived but they claim they are not responsible for items lost between customs and delivery. My contention is if you sell overseas you run some risk and as a repupital business you take responsibility for the items all the way through delivery. Even worse considering the few thousand dollars a customer has spent over the years. Fortunately there are other very good publishers to choose from.

Paper Fan - I sympathise.

And thank you for the heads up re GPM. I will make certain I support you by not ordering from them again!

The shipping method is their choice and they charge for it - you have made a purchase and your contract is with them, not the US Postal Service or the courier or whoever!

Do not let it rest - you can raise a complaint with relevant Consumer Body and other parties and you should definitely do so. It is worth the minor effort as if the wheels start turning you will see a rapid change in attitude.

Have a look here - REGULAMIN • - which gives details of the route to follow. They have to provide this information, which is indicative of the fact the regulatory authorities there do have clout.

But start with another mail requesting a refund.

----------------------------

I have had my share of debacles as well due to couriers and even download orders (BestPaperModels, when they had their own site, turned into a scam)! More recently I received a model that was totally misprinted - and the supplier does not want to replace it. We will see where this one goes!
