The US classified all work as top secret, I doubt images have ever been released. They also scuttled them in deep water to prevent them falling into Soviet hands.

Well, I discovered a PDF with a lot of photographs of these investigations, so I believe that this secrecy was lifted many years after the war !!

Sorry, I was not very clear, but I discovered this file on one of my old external HD's, I downloaded it many years ago, somewhere on the internet, no idea where, but the publication was published in 2006. Maybe it is still available anywhere.
