Sea diorama is completed.
I did these textures in Inkscape. The ship's wake is based on various aerial photos of County-class cruisers.

So, anyone's waiting for Friday?

We've reached the end. HMAS Australia is completed.
The model portrays ship in its configuration from Guadalcanal 1942, where it took part in escorting transport ships and covering the landing operations.

It looks great, Kacper! Very nicely displayed, too. It makes me want to reread Samuel Eliot Morison's, The Struggle for Guadalcanal again.

Weird, but I was reading only the other day about the First Battle of Savo Island (8-9 Aug 1942) that claimed so many Allied seamen's lives and sent 4 Allied cruisers (including HMAS Australia's related Kent Class RAN ship, HMAS Canberra) to the bottom.

Don, Zbigniew Flisowski's Burza nad Pacyfikiem(18th photo) has some fragments taken from Samuel Eliot Morison's books. The Struggle for Guadalcanal is mentioned too.

To me, Burza nad Pacyfikiem(it's in two parts, about 1500 pages in total) is probably the greatest book about Pacific War. Everything is here.

And by the way, I've already found the ship for my next project.
