Fantastic Barry. The gun tubs look really good.

Even with all those 20's and the bow-mounted 40, these craft weren't all that well protected from air attack. At least the gun positions had good shooting lines. You could rotate those 20's practically 360 degrees in chasing an attacking plane.

What I think the stern looks like

No way do I think this is to scale but I think it is something like they the props are kept as far up as possible out of harms way. If anyone knows better please tell me.

This gets a bit up metaseqs' nose so I did one analogue subtracting from the proptunnel and another drawing a line oh the tunnel then merged the two together and joined the bad points

I've never seen the belly of these beasts Barry. However, what you've extrapolated here seems reasonable.

Maybe some of our resident Amphib guys could chime and let us know if you're warm Barry.

Wow Barry. Simply amazing.

This old tub is starting to look familiar. I can't wait to see the look on my friend's grandfather's face. This should bring back some old memories.

First try at camo

I know the colours are wrong and I might well have to use one of the available camo schemes but it gives an idea of how it will look. Ireally need a course in how to use Photoshop it is not like watercolours.

Barry --

The camo pattern looks about right for Measure 31/17L, which I think was standard for LSMs, in the Pacific at least. Indeed, it looks almost exactly like the photos of LSM 156 at the NavSource photo site: Landing Ship Medium LSM-156

Floating Drydock offers the appropriate patterns in hard copy by mail
Floating Drydock (halfway down the page is a photo of LSM 351 in that scheme) and the U.S. Naval Historical Center has them on line:
http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/imag ... 76519c.htm
http://www.history.navy.mil/photos/imag ... 76520c.htm

I haven't been able to find a photo of the underside of an LSM, but your interpretation of the screws and tunnels looks about right, based on the drawings I have seen.

In which regard, the long-delayed images should be on the way via email soon.

Don
