Manila Dory

A Dory is a small, shallow-draft boat with a flat bottom.

The first known mention of a Dory in detail was in 1719.

In 1898 the Battle of Manila Bay is considered the most
total victory in the history of the United States Navy.

However, that has nothing to do with my “Manila” Dory model.

I just built the thing out of a manila folder.

Model:
4 3/4 inches long
2 inches wide
One inch high at top of transom.

Another excellent model, Bob. And, of course it is not beyond the realm of possibility that there was at least one traditional dory aboard one of Dewey's ships.

I thought for a moment you were going to connect this to the "Thrilla In Manilla".
Your boat is a Thrilla, though it isn't from Manila.

Nice work and I like the choice of material. I'm surprised this material is not used more often.
