The finished model from stem to stern...the first view is what Calamai and his officers saw in horror on that fateful day in 1956.

The last pics of this small North Atlantic liner. She was unjustly classified as the odd one out in the Swedish America Line fleet, conceived in 1944/45 even before the war ended. Too small, too much cargo space, no fittinng running mate for Gripsholm. And what a twist of fate! She is now the longest-living active passenger ship albeit heavily reconstructed. And the best thing for me: the model substitutes the rather clumsy one by MKV and does not occupy additional space which is a scarce in my apartment with 35 models.

This model was beautifully executed. Superb work. I have the kit myself and was not that impressed with it. You have turned it into a builders model ! I'm about to start the companion kit of Andrea Doria but she is loaded with errors however she is the best and only thing out there. I have the 1/250 version and I will try to add in the missing details and correct some of the errors. Olaf your work is very inspiring. Will you do the Doria next ?

Beautiful model, high level of execution Only one thing, the cables better in soft gray. imitating steel. Very thin paint so as not to increase its thickness. Congratulations

What an excellent build. Love the deck chairs that I see up on pic 5 of 5. Your life boats are awesome as well.

This is really well done, congratulations! I was skeptical about the JSC-model but your build is absolutely convincing.
