T-600 Torpedo boat

This one is a very old model that was published in Israel in the '80s, the model can be built as an above the water state without the bottom half or as a full model showing both halves, I chose to build the fill model version.

The printed model was in visibly good condition but as I started the build it became obvious that the paper is no longer workable ...very stiff and unforgiving...

so I printed my scanned files on new 160gr paper and started again...

Here are some pictures of the new build.

Hi Solo:
Very interesting model. Do you have more information about the model like nationality, class and scale (1/250?).
Thank you for sharing.

Unfortunately, the only thing That is stated in the model is its scale 1/200...
there is no info about the author/designer or the country of Origen.
it was a small publishing house that printed some paper models in the 80s in Israel but did not survive long and the models that were printed by this publishing house are now very rare and hard to come by...

I was trying to look for some info about this type of ship over the net and could not find anything useful but there is little info about this T-600 it also came up as type 25 boat so I don't really know much about this vessel, but it is fun to build

I think it is a T1 Class torpedo boat as described by the USN Office of Naval Intelligence

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_torpedo_boat_T1

This model at 1/200 should be around 21 cm. Is it?

ps: Is any expert around to confirm?

Well, its length is about 40 cm, I didn't measure it so far will do tonight ...

it does look like the type of boat you suggested but I still couldn't find any info about this vessel, and don't understand how it can be called T-600/type-25/T-1 all at the same time

So far I have assembled all the different parts and the next stage is to assemble it all, the instructions are very confusing and not as clear as one would hope for (even if they are written in your native language ) and due to the fact that it is a very old model and many signs and markings were faded from the original, so it took a long time to figure out where every part goes to...

here are some pics of the different parts.

sorry, it is right on
21 cm in 1/400, and
42 cm in 1/200.

my fault, I am so used to convert to 1/400.

let's see how it looks like when finished.

ps; may be the editor didn't want to publish something, understandable, with a hideous flag in your county.
They might had access to the info, and took some artistic license in the name.

It is 41.6cm ...wireandpaper

Models that were published in Israel in the '50s-'70s were mainly from Willhelm shavener and Schreiber Bogen publications that were often edited to suit Israeli modelers and I know for a fact that different signs like "nazi signs " were taken out of the models with the permission of the publisher , and the instructions were translated into Hebrew, so I imagen that some info was left out...but as for this one it looks like a Willhelm shavener model but it has a former color-coding that WHS doesn't have ...

I will try to finish her this weekend and move on to another oldy maybe

your model is not the WHM

Hi Moshe:
I was able to track the Torpedoboot to an old Wilhelmshavener Modellbaubogen catalog by Paper Models International. It was No. 1220. This is not your model. The first obvious reasons are the scale and the full hull. WHM scales were 1/250 and water line. Also the model is in solid gray, not camouflaged, and probably representing the modifications in its later life with plenty of flak, one replacing one of the triple torpedo tubes. Your model looks more like the office of naval intelligence. I also found a construction report in Kartonbau of the WHM.

https://www.kartonbau.de/forum/torpe...t/t31274-f290/

Looking forward to your completed model.

It is on sale on E bay for no less then 250uero ...

I don't know this company but it looks like WHS...
