Bob showed his blockade runner "Teazer" at last night's Ship Modelers Association meeting, along with his tank-killing "flying boat" that was such a hit at last Friday's IPMS/OC meeting. See the following thread:
http://www.papermodelers.com/forum/m...rs-gather.html I suggested a name for Bob's little Manila boat -- the "Andrea Dory". ;-) David T. Okamura |

Blockade Runner completed
Added Railings and rigging:
Bolt threads did not allow the parallel closeness desired therefore the 205.7m polyester thread was anchored in place with a piece of kneaded eraser. A dental tool applied equal (eyeballed) distance dots of Aleens tacky glue to the stretched thread. Short polyester strands were pressed in place with a dental tool. Sprayed Krylon Acrylic clear gloss on the assembled thread railing and allowed to dry overnight. Next day, placed threaded railing on a white card and carefully removed excess edges leaving a ships rail that doesn’t look too shabby. Aleens again used to attach rails onto decking. Rigging was done with 137m Upholstery thread. Another clear arcrylic gloss coat added to base. BP BP |
