Not downloadable from digipeer.de, but useable. Probably to protect the museum's property rights. So, to get to a higher resolution image, click on any drawing from the index/list. The next page gives biographical data about the drawing, say, completed on 12.3.1930, original scale, original material, etc. Click on the image again and you will see an overview of the drawing again, with the Deutsche Schiffahrtsmuseum signature at the bottom, then click a 3rd time to get to a navigatable, zoomable image... this is where having a plain, flat computer monitor that isnt any sort of touch screen and ruler ready comes into play

The EUROPA download is great! I haven`t seen that before. Thank you very much! Some kind of contemporary witness I am sure going to build sometimes.

Front Light: i was ecstaticly happy to find her there too, I'm glad somebody else found that useful☺
JohnMGD: it has been a great resource; if you look at COLUMBUS's layout, it struck me you can see how BREMEN and EUROPA grew from that design. Because it seems to be somewhat relevant, i had found the digipeer site when referenced by this guy's amazing build of COLUMBUS http://www.die-kartonmodellbauer.de/...tten/&pageNo=1 Guy has done a brilliant job i don't think i coul ever be so skilled, museum quality |

Davits, bitts & bollards, some ventilation equipment, diesel exhausts for electrical plant...

Most of the midships ventilation equipment, midship cranes complete. In case someone is wodering where the catapult is, I picked her March 1930 appearance, looks like she didn't get the catapult until the fall or late summer. And aimed the searchlights aft, since judging by photos that was their normal stowed position.
DSM's archived Blohm & Voss prints have been my source. The model is not as accurate to the original as I'd like, but that's on me. Last edited by Decaturbeginner; 04-24-2020 at 10:31 PM. Reason: corrected english |

Well thank you, I actually have a goof with the davits I've resigned myself to accept. Port side is correct, but the template I made to accurately place the davits slipped on the starboard side, so ahead of the midships bridge they are all 1mm too far forward. I didn't catch this until after the glue set, and to remove & redo will damage both upper promenade & sun decks...and symmetric parts that aren't drive me nuts.
(Sigh). To paraphrase Tom Hanks, there's no crying in paper ships. Even if it's EUROPA. |

Completed ventilation equipment, cargo boom winches. On to lifeboats...like a lot of other things I've noticed, these seem to measure out differently than those built for her sister.
