It's not super detailed (only one sheet) but it's the only paper one I've come up with.

Watercraft.

Might I ask your interest? My biological father went down with one of these before it got ashore on Gold Beach.

The PTA LCVP is a good one if printed at 1/48 or smaller.

I haven't seen one in a larger scale, either, and if Johnny couldn't find it, I doubt it exists.

Cheers Don. Sunday ... 80 people on parade here, plus as many more watching.

Monday ... Three of us.

It wasn't a request. It was an order ... At the going down of the sun, and in the morning ... We WILL remember them.

Bob ... If you can sink to plastic, The 1:72 Airfix Higgins LCVP is pretty detailed. Plenty of them on eBay this side of the pond.

Higgins boat

Howdy John M,
A modeling buddy of mine is building a plastic model Higgins
and I wanted to see if I could compete with a card model.
Following your suggestion thank you , I ordered one but have not figured how to access the download yet.
These little boats “changed the nature of amphibious warfare.”
Lots of interesting history may be found on-line.

OrderingInfo

I paid by PayPal and it came in by email the following day, but that was a few years ago now. The website still looks active, but as I say it was a good while ago now that I last contacted them.

I keep toying with building the Airfix boat, but I need a Bren gun carrier (Lloyd Carrier) to go in it. Airfix do/did one of them too but the boat is 1:72 and the carrier is 1:76. Life's much easier with paper ain't it. Rescaling is just a print command away.

Nebeltex has been on in the last 24 hours. Have you messaged him?

In our own Military Vehicles downloads, you can find a 1/72 scale Lloyd carrier and a 1/72 scale Universal carrier.

Nebeltex = Cliff Button = Paper Tiger Armaments. If Cliff is ashore and not off on an oil rig, he will respond to a PM. He's a good guy and I am sure he will be helpful if you have any questions about the download or the model.

Johnny - Cheers and roger copy.

Bob,

I have a 1/25 scale Mike boat by (LCM-2) GPM. If you want to it I can bring to the next IPMS-OC. If its too large I can scan it and re-scale it for you.

Jim
