Those were the S-151 to S-158, originally British Power Boats designs. Now the question is that the original designs of Mr. Scott-Paine ranged from 68' to 77" and these where almost 93'. The Royal Navy didn't have any MTB of that size at the beginning of the hostilities. The older German S-2 to S-5 were of similar size as the S-151. Did the German enlarged the hulls or these were of a new design?

go to section 1.2 (Stoom- en Motorschepen), continue to subsection 1.2.14 (Torpedo- en kanonneermotorboten.) Items 1841-1850 are drawings for the British Powerboat Co mtb's built by Gusto Schiedam. A set of 10 drawings in 1/12 scale

1841 - profile
1842 - linesplan and bodyplan
1843 - 1850 - cross sections

downloading is easy, click on an entry, than click on "bekijk de scans" (view the scans). click on the "scans" tab, or the thumbnail image to view the drawing. on the right side of your screen you should see a "direct downloaden" (direct download) button. click on this button and after 20 seconds the download should start. if not click on the upperlink in the pop-up screen.
the drawings are royalty free, so you can do anything you want with those drawings.....

and if you do have time left, just browse the complete section, besides some famous Dutch warships as Java & De Ruyter, you will find shipyard drawings for some British and American warships as well. (aircraft carriers, fleet destroyers, escort destroyers) etc etc

All those diagrams are very useful.
Regarding the TM 51 to 53 they look very similar (identical?) to PT-9 that Mr. Scott-Paine sold to the US Navy and the basis for the Elco 70', 77' and 80' classes of PTs.

As for the boats completed by the Germans they did a transformation of the hull from a length of 21.3m to 28.3 m and from a beam of 6.1 m to 4.46 m!

By the way, Froute Man some time ago posted a site that has a collection of the Marabout Junior, there, there is a model of a Vedette Rapide, a Vosper Air Sea Rescue. But I can't read the "longueure" 20m???

the Vospers were 68' about 20.7 m. Different marks were produced between 1949 to 1971 of the Rescue and Towing Launches. Non have the serial 2135.

yes, all my models are 1/400 including planes, dirigibles and tanks (with very few exceptions, but I do notice that).

Thank you for the compliment.... I just like roaming the internet for information and I'd like to share that information whenever possible....

Unfortunately I cannot find the exact posts about the mtb that were transfered to the Bulgarian and Romanian navy, but I could give you the link to the Russian forum.

I think you'll find this thread very usefull. About 19 pages of pictures and (scale model) drawings for various mtb's from different time periods and different nations. The website is in Russian, but again, Google translate does a reasonable job translating the information shared by modelbuilders, mostly from Russia and Ukraine....

And again, if you go to the ship modelling index page you'll find a lot of information about other subjects.
No need to register to download any drawing or picture, but if you want to post yourself, then registration is required and a post in Russian mandatory.... but again, Google translate will do the job for you
