After a little detour

Dear All;
After a little detour of vintage airplane models I was able to finish the T-14.
I did the torpedoes and it was the hardest part!
Soon to be released.
One wonders about these combatants with one 25 mm gun against a late Elco with at least 4 mg, plus a 20mm, a 37mm and a 40mm!
Happy modeling, stay safe.

IJN T-14 torpedo boat

Dear All:
Here is the IJN T-14 torpedo boat class in 1/200.
The real one was around 15 m, smaller than the Italian MAS,
Let me know if you like it.

Finally, I finish Wayne's PT with minimal additions including the torpedoes.

This PT project started with me probably last century when I got a plas... model by Hawk of a scale close to 1/200. I traced the deck and sides of the hull and reduced them to 1/400. At that time I didn't know i was a papermodeler and wanted to use styrene to build the model but didn't progress. Later, I did it in paper very much as I would have done in styrene with manila card and painted it (no colored printing). That is the model in the top left. Then after many, many years, I started this thread and designed some Elcos as paper models. And then Wayne came out with a full series of the 80 footer covering most standard schemes. I didn't realized how well it could mimetized the deck in sea blue scheme!

What I want to say to new modelers, or not so new, is that some times your model takes some time to arrive, and when you decide to do it yourself, a wonderful model from a great designer may be arriving shortly!

.............................Not to discourage model designing.

Thank you JSC

I have to mention that also big thanks to the people at JSC that have been providing consistently models in 1/400 and inspiration for us. In particular number 23 that was seminal in my collection and served the basis for my first recolor/adaptation before I knew I was a papermodeler.
Finally, I completed the Vosper MTB adding the armament.
I hope you like them.

Dear Foute Man, and All:
The prototype for HMS Mimi and HMS Toutou are almost completed and just need a few adjustments. I still have some questions about the layout of the crew deck.
Any suggestions?
Thank you very much for the valuable information.
Nevertheless, I am not sure that these very successful gunboats belong here, since their very important actions were in a lake.
Their history is fascinating including the commander of the operation: Captain Geoffrey Basil Spicer-Simson.

Here is a short recount of the operation:

And a longer version (almost a mockumentary) that you may watch while cleaning the dishes:

ps: Yes, this is going to be a simple one pager model, but so far the only I know about these forgotten heroes.
