A 1/1200 squadron from the WarArtisan kits
Salutations, gentlefolk !
These are French ships-of-the-line, made from the kits by WarArtisan.com, first squadron of a project to eventually do the 1805 battle of Trafalgar in miniature, using the Close Action rules. The original plans are scaled down and printed out, assembled around a core of, and based on, basswood pieces (the bases are 3 1/2" long), made to withstand game-piece handling. The masts are florist's wire, the yards of stiffened embroidery thread. (Admitting to such impurity may get me expelled from these august premises, but 'tis probably better to confess it in my first post here. Thanks for your forbearance, and your comments.) |
